I received a letter stating I can get a new control board and a module of some type for my furnace. The new board has some timing changes made from what I understand.

The control board I get, does anyone know what the module is?

tinytim, I just had my board replaced on the same recall, and from what I understand, is they were getting a voltage surge through the board from the actuaters . They changed manufacturers of the boards and installed surge protectors on them to correct the problem. don't know if i'll notice a difference with the upgrade but so far everything seems to be burning great. The modulators i'm assuming are the surge protectors installed on the boards, as thats all i installed. just unplug the old and plug in the new.there is paperwork to sign and the old board has to be sent back to the company.

Just had my board replace a few days ago, but yet to start a fire yet. Doug Martin is correct about the problem.

I was told I was getting a separate module also but none came with board I received. Called the company but never got a return call. So eventually I just installed it and returned the old board. Everything has been working fine. I like the auto setting which adjusts the pusher and plate for removal during cleaning.

Picked up my new board last night. Really nice new interface with an LCD display. Well worth the time if your furnace is within the serial number range.

An added bonus was with the panel off I had a chance to vac out the dust and lube the push arms.
