we installed the chimney this afternoon

seem to have some smoke leakage from the door...need to change the seal.

congratulations, it looks great. Hope you are warm, I'm having trouble with my Mt. Vernon igniting the corn, my dealer seems to be avoiding me for some reason. Mad

Have you checked the moisture on your corn? I've heard that high moisture corn can be a little hard to light.

Yea had it checked at 2 different places one said 10.3 the other said 10.2%

Just during startup? Do you auto ignite corn? How about a handful of pellets in the pot first.

still burning tonight...change the seal in the door today....my house has never ever ever been this warm in the 13 years i have been here.

My house was built before 1850.

Wow...still amazed. I can only imagine how good the newer stoves are.

This morning we changed the door seal and i lowered the temp in the house.

We went four wheeling all day came home way after dard and fired that sucker up...people were falling asleep from the heat here.

I love it.

Sounds like a very neat house!! Maybe if it's not any trouble sometime you can take a shot or two of it and post on the forum. It must be very well built to have withstood that amount of time in your northern conditions. How cold do you get up there, how about the heat in summer?
