| Well I have the dreaded 5 blinks nothign happening on my harmon pf100. I am thinking its the ignitor since everything else works but the pellets just fill the pot and do not ignite. I have the book, but of course can not remember where I put it, so I will post on here for someone to tell me if this is the culprit. |

| That I did, I cleaned the entire furnace, even unplugged it thinking that maybe something needed to be reset. I am just glad I have my quadra-fire in the living room or my wife would really be ornery! |

Inkman:
That happened to me last week....don't know why, really!!
What I did was to remove all the pellets, filled about 1/3, and
started manually.
The following day I shut it down, and started up again as normaly
done, and worked great.....
Make sure that your settings are 1,2,4 down and 3 up....
Working perfectly since.....tempermental.... |

lousyweather at hearth.com is a repair tech. He said the following on that forum:
remove the ignitor and test the resistance…..a “good” ignitor around 3 years old will give you resistance of about 42-45 ohms…...most of the “bad” ignitors have no continuity at all…....Im guessing though, that instead of being fried, which it might have been, when you checked the thing, you didnt push the ignitor leads far enough abck into the unit, and the wires might have shorted out against the housing they sit in…..pullt he old ignitor out, test it, expect it to have no continuity, and replace it with a new one….but this time make sure you take ALL the slack out of those wires! _________________ The people are the masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it.
