I replaced my feed wheel gasket last year (per intructions from DLS (I think)). Now from time to time the feed wheel seems to lift up so it's hard pressed against rubber gasket...which will not allow any pellets to drop in hole. The pellts the fall down bewtween the feed wheel and the piece it's bolted/screwed to. then the stove shuts itself down due to insufficient fuel. doesn this makes snese to anyone that may be able help or has had this problem before??

fyi-when i replaced the feed wheel gasket i popped 2 holes and mounted with set screws per wiki/dls or ??

Thanks,
Chris

sounds like too many fines in pellets, you will have to clean hopper more often, as they start to get under wheelit gets progressivly worse as it lets bigger pieces under, you could check wheel adjustment, if you t ake big nut off wheel ,back it off, then turn down till it touches then 1 1/2 turns more, then tighten nut

Blume is correct. Either that, or the pellets are too long. They break at the fill tube. This creates excessive dust. I had a very bad spell with 1.25" long pellets from Curran that required cleaning under the feedwheel with almost every fill.

hey Dollarbill-
things are going good for now. Thanks.

We do not have a dealer up here either...I have had my stove for 3yrs. and havent had a dealer. I depend on this site to get me through.

I typically burn pellets but have burned some corn. Pellets seem to be cheaper up here in Bangor. I buy my pellets from a stove shop in orono and they are Corinth pellets. I get corn by the bag @ Blue Seal.

where in Southern Maine are you?

Chris
