i have two auburns. one vented to the east and one to the west. stove to the east runs all levels and never needs cleaning. stove facing west always #2 error on windy days. not sure about solution to wind protection. also is the wind effecting the fresh air vent or exhaust vent? I have them vented straight outside the house exposed to direct westerly/northern winds.
thanks for your help. |

Place an elbow on the end of the air intake pipe aimed down. An elbow on the exhaust end can be tried or extend the pipe into something like a metal garbage can or a large diameter section of stove pipe with a hole cut in the side for the exhaust pipe to fit in, or you can use a tee in the larger pipe. Anything to shelter the end of the exhaust from the wind.
