I finally installed my new 1101 stove yesterday. I'm hoping some one here can give me an idea of what to expect as far as air output temps. I ran it on setting one all evening , the air coming out felt luke warm so i turned it up on setting two before bed. a little more heat but not much . I'll put a temp probe on it later to get real numbers . It was 35 overnight and the house was cool, didn't turn it up any further as it is supposed to be in the 60's later 'Very Happy'
Seems like it would help if the room air fan speed was adjustable.

Thanks!

My 1101 has been running for about 5 hours. I started it on #1 and kept it there. The temp directly in front of a heat exchanger tube is 141 degrees. The fan IS a variable speed, but you cannot adjust it manually. There is a sensor that will automatically increase the cfm/speed when the burning temp increases.

Just remember Corn Nut, the heat output all really depends on what you are burning and moisture content. Burning on pellets, you just will not get as hot as when it burns on corn. The 1101 is a true corn burner!!

I will have to try some corn from my new supply, it is very clean and dry. the corn I used to start it was left over from last burning season. I preburned the stove in the driveway when i bought it.

I should'nt compare with my Snowflame as it has a smaller heat exchanger. Good for fall and spring, not so good for high burn rates. I like how I could manualy control the fan on it .

It has been to warm here to run the new stove. Never fails, the weather warms up as soon as I have a new toy to play with 'Rolling Eyes'
I don't think I will have to wait long though !

Yes the size of the heat exchanger does make a difference. The larger surface area the more heat you capture but it doesn't feel as hot.

You will like the Golden Grain over the Snowflame. I had a good friend of mine sell his Snowflame as it was getting some soot in the house and switch to the 1101 and he loves it, especially the fact he can open the door and no smoke or soot blows out if he forgets to turn off the fan.

Is it possible I have a misprinted owners manuel? I noticed I have only odd numbered pages.'Shocked'

Not sure about your manual, but I do know that the manual does not say anything in it about a thermostat and I do not know why.

Turns out I did have a misprinted manual! The new one arrived yesterday, makes a little more sense now Very Happy The people on the G.G. hotline were very helpful.
I also hooked up a thermostat to the stove. It has reduced the amount of corn used significantly as it turns down the stove during the day when outside temps rise. ( also helps I finally found where a cold draft between floors was coming from Wink )
