My stove quit and I checked the fuse and sure enough it was blown. I cleaned out my hopper and moved the auger a bit and it seems to be free. When I replaced the fuse with the exact same fuse and hit the prime button it blew right away. It is a new stove as of October so it is under warenty but the problem is I bought it from the TSC store here in town. I was going to pull the auger but don't want to void my coverage. Any sugestions? It is cold here and I am hoping to not be down tooooo long. _________________ Envirotec 5775

Sounds like your auger motor may have gone bad. If you can move the auger by hand that would almost eliminate something stuck in the auger but I would take the auger out and check anyway. Could it be possible that stove vibration has caused some wire insulation to wear away giving you a direct short? Funny that you posted, I was just wondering how my corn burning friends from the great white north were doing with their stoves. _________________ Former corn burner

Not so good.....lol
I pulled the auger and think the windings are burnt. It has that distinct oder of burnt electric motor smell.
Thanx for the response so quick by the way. It's -5 F here right now and am missing the stove big time _________________ Envirotec 5775

I had bought a US Stove from TSC last month and had a problem with the blower motor. They pulled one off a stove on the floor to get my going. Real good customer service here in Michigan. I have since sold it, too noisy for me and not near as H.D. as a 5775.
Hope you get it going

The ice is just getting thick enough now to finally put them out. It wasn't that long ago that it finally froze over here. We were thinking about adapting it ovet to having barrels on the skis and floating it out...lol
I love getting out there on the ice and cranking up the heat in the shack and doin a bit of fishing. It is the greatest. I think I like fishing this way more than out of a boat. Except for the warm summer part I miss....lol _________________ Envirotec 5775
