We have had one issue after another. Seems we resolve one thing and then something else crops up. The latest issue is that the furnace keeps going out the the error code is loss of vacume. What is the problem? Any ideas? My husband is tired of running up and down the stairs to the basement. Hopefully next season goes better for us.
In advance, we have replaced all the recommended parts. Dealer has been out and OK'ed our hook up.
(We were never able to burn 100% corn, we had been burning a mix, we are now burning pellets until we get a load of the mix next weekend. ) |

How is your furnace exhaust vented and where does your outside air come from? If the exhaust or intake air intake isn't protected from wind gusts the wind can change the air pressure in the furnace and cause the vacuum switch to trip and that will shut the furnace down.
Until you can correct the wind problem and you know that you maintain the exhaust and furnace so that it is safe it's been known that the vacuum switch can be "jumped" (connect the wires to it together). _________________ Countryside 3500P (pedestal version) used 8-9 yrs, 24/7 during days requiring heat. All original motors. Burns moldy corn, and pellets equally well. Burn it if you got it.

Try tweaking the draft in small increments untill the flame is very active.
Allow 20-30 minutes bewteen movements, this allows the stove to adjust to the airflow. _________________ Fahrenheit 50f

Also, make sure your door is closed tight - there is a cam-lock on the handle and it's easy to push the handle in and think it's closed - but actually engage the cam-lock. Conversely, the latch may be a bit loose, to where the ca-lock isn't pulling the door shut tight enough...if so, simply loosen the latch screws and adjust. _________________ Wooster, Ohio
