Anyone have a problem with their furnace fan turning on when the furnace is plugged in, or staying on even after the temp has dropped.
I plugged mine in today and the fan kicked in right away. I did a couple hour burn test and then turned it off and the fan was still running well after it had cooled down. |

Hello Tinytim You need to unplug the stove. The fan control has power to it as long as the stove is plugged in. The fan control is a dial type. Have you changed any of the settings on the dial? The dial may be stuck , it rotates with the heat. It is very important to unplug the stove before monkeying with it.
I would suggest seeing your dealer. _________________ cornstoveheating.com

TT...is the small white button on the fan control pushed in? The fan will stay running if it happened to get bumped to the inner position. _________________ Mike and Barb

Thanks Doug,
I had the switch in the wrong position. Stink'n winter came a bit early and I had to fire it up 3 times now. Even on # 2 it's too warm. _________________

Mine stays on too!
I was wanting to run mine with thermostat, but not sure it's worth all the BS. It seems to run great and keeps my house at about 68 degrees when running on 3 and it was in the 20's last night. I don't want to crank it up above that, as it will run us out of the house, I am sure.
So far, loving running it on manual.
What do others do on here? _________________ Fahrenheit Endurance 50 - in the house |

I had moved the white button accidentally that is under the cover plate. Once I moved it back the blower fan worked as normal.
Regarding the thermostat, I played around with one last winter. In the end I just kept it running all the time. I found that I liked having the constant warm air.
This summer I got most of my basement finished. Last winter I had nothing down there but bare block walls. This has made a HUGE difference. It has been 15-17 degrees outside for over a week and the first floor in the house has been 71, the 2nd floor has been 68, and the basement is at 68 (all the vents are closed in the basement). This is with the furnace running on #2. Last winter on #2 I had a hard time getting the house to hit 70 when it was 20 degrees out. |
