What do all you air scorchers have your fan control settings on? I have been tweeking mine because of my layout to get the most out of the fuel and heat produced. I have my fan turn on at 135 degress and shut off at 100. Both were set higher, and now I notice how much longer the fan runs. I also noticed too, how much less corn is being burned, since idle fire is keeping the shop warmer with out as many calls for high fire. Last year with 15-20 degree weather, I was going thru a 1/4 to 1/3 of a bin of corn a day, now it uses less, maybe 2 to 3 bushels of corn. I am heating with a stove also, but the longer running fan on the furnace helps to circulate that heat better too. These findings may be a little premature, but I am liking what I am seeing! Laughing The burn pot is able to keep burning between upper and lower holes, which this was a major problem in the past. So far there has not been as much clinker buildup on the inside of the burn pot.

I was at 140 on 100 off. I am now at 130 on and 100 off. Haven't noticed much difference yet. What fan speed are you at?

I have mine on high. With a 4k sq ft building, I wish is was even stronger, but according to MR. LDJ, that would defeat the purpose. Stayed nice and warm with not too much fuel again last night, down around 15 degrees.

I actually increased both settings by 10 degrees to get warmer air at the registers and to decrease the time that the blower runs. I think I am at 160 degrees on and 110 degrees off. I set my blower up to the highest speed.
