Hey
Question time again....
do some of you know the temperature at the exhaust of your stove??
at different distances and such...just curious.
My stove is at 400F to 500F at the window
250F directly on stove exhaust
and from 180F beginning of pipe towards the wall at the wall i am 85F
sound anywhere near normal,???Sidecar ??Sting??

Ditto. You want the exhaust to be warm. Too cold and it condenses and rots out right away.

My Auburn at the highest setting is about 350 ish at stack ,that a 108 lb burn in 24hrs ,what kind of burn rate are you with the dovetec _________________ St. Croix Auburn

Your're temperature is fine Mustang00. Somewhere around 220F is needed to prevent creosote when burning pellets, and manufacturers design the stoves to exhaust that much even when they're on low settings.
Aaind, not familiar at all with your stove, but if you are able to close your draft without flooding, you can probably cut stack temp. some. Some stoves are efficient at higher settings, and some aren't- my furnace is one of those that isn't. |

No Damper on my stove....that i know of...
