I guess we have to start with something. Do you know what the moisture content of the corn you are trying to burn? The corn will burn better if it is about 12% moisture but will more likely be about 15%. Any higher moisture content should not be used.

You have a used stove and it may need cleaning. Your stove's working right is very dependant on being clean.
Are you using the correct exhaust and outside air intake pipes?
Is the burn pot warped? The burn pot should be in the correct location and fit correctly or the fire will not burn correctly. There is a air adjustment on the burn pot. If that isn't adjusted right the fire won't burn right.

Whoa Nell!!!! Explain those dryer vent pipes. If they are real dryer vent pipes you are in danger of having a very nasty fire or worse. Shocked

Dryer vent pipe would fit, I think.....Dryer vent pipe should last about a week maybe.

Dryer vent pipe will burn your house down. Shocked

Something about nitric vapor and aluminum don't mix.

check the burn pot air inlet. it should have a half moon tab at the inlet. that should be bent in approx. 3/8 of an inch. something else to check is your combustion fan and motor

You are fairly close to me... I have a SnowFlame, clone of your stove.
In my experience, I'm betting you are burning uncleaned corn. While the stove will burn uncleaned corn, what you describe is the problem with it.

After watching mine closely for most of my first winter burning corn, I finally saw what was happening. The dust and fines that slid down the chute would sit on the dispersing peg (above the firepot and below the chute) and an occasional tall flame would scorch it. Then the partially burnt dust/fines would catch more fines, and pretty soon a whole kernel would stick there.

Soon the chute opening was blocked with what looks like a burnt popcorn ball, and the fire goes out, starved for fuel. After cooling, sometimes the ball breaks off and all the backed up corn drops into the pot, leaving you to try to figure out what the heck is going on.

After cleaning my corn with a cheap internet cleaner, the burnt popcorn balls have become a distant memory.

This year, I'm burning 14% directly out of the field. It has no dust, very little cob or stalk pieces, and so far I have not had to clean anything.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions. Also, I am running the larger burn pot with a cast iron bottom. I love it, but have a friend with the same stove who has good luck with the stock pot. Together we've learned a lot about these stoves.
