I just stumbled across this. I found it interesting. Sorry if it's old news.

Hey, that's what we need, some blondes pushing our cause. Who can be a skeptic when confronted with that? _________________ Mark

Reminds me of the denialist's infamous Oregon Petition. |

I'm not in denial at all. Actually I welcome global warming if it actually occurs to a measurable extent in the productive lifetime I have left.
Global warming will cause me, as a farmer to diversify my crops and ag management practices. It will (supposedly) cause sea levels to rise and that will wipe out low lying areas on the coasts, not all bad really. The armpits of both the east and west coasts lie on ground that will be submerged so I see nothing bad in that either.
Now, I can see the US Amy Corps of Engineers attempting to build a dike system like the Dutch have to keep out the rising water but I say let the water flow and remove the blight.
Maybe I listen to the wrong news station but I heard nothing constructive came out of the Global warming Summit in Denmark (I think that's where it was at least). In as much as I'm not attuned to Global Warming or cooling for that matter, it don't get my undivided attention.
From what I've read, aspiration caused more greenhouse gases than any other emission. Does that mean that to curtail the alleged Global Warming, all living beings and animals should quit breathing?
I guess what I'm pointing at is there has to be a happy medium and there isn't. Being somewhat intelligent beings but not too rational we will always have some bone of contention. That's life.
I remember back in the 60's when there was a great fear the the Soviet Union would launch a nuclear attack on the United States and that would be the end of life as we all know it. That never happened. While not a good and valid comparison by any means, I believe the professed effects of global warming will never occur either.
I'm sure it's fun for you to discuss however. Being an expert on such stuff is very mainstream in today's society. Problem is, until something actually occurs that drastically changes the course of events, it's all conjecture.
The sun will come up tomorrow morning and set tomorrow evening just like it did the previous day and if it don't, neither you nor I will be here to worry about it. Life, yours and mine is very tenuous in the grand scheme of things. Being humans, we like to think of ourselves in a vain light and disregard the fact that we could all be gone tomorrow, like the dinosaurs. _________________ Flipmeisters Specialty Products, LLC

Well said.
Some like to think we have some control over the destiny of the earth. Cracks me up. Next Texas sized meteor that decides to smash us and it's all over, so no point in whining. Just enjoy your life and fight against new taxes, that's my strategy!
I've got 36 gallons of wine nearly ready to bottle. Life is very, very good _________________ Maxim M250 outdoor corn/pellet burner

Hah, you think you have control over taxes.
I don't fret taxes, I have an 18 year old bottle of scotch ready to drink - life is better. |

Just back from dinner at a Japanese steakhouse...Sapporo and hot sake ... yes, life is to be celebrated!
Hey, jdeere... I used to live in the Finger Lakes, Central NY amidst wine country. Made a few batches of chardonnay. Still have the fermenting barrel in the basement, but alas, too many projects for that. _________________ Mark
