I've got a 5 year old auburn. I shut the stove down the other day for cleaning, and when I tried to restart got error 2, and the combustion fan wasn't running.
I took the fan out and cleaned it, blew out the vacuum line, and put it back together (the fan gasket was now bad, but not replaced). I also gave the rest of the stove a complete cleaning, including pounding on the back. Both fans spin when starting up, but error 2 in a short time.
I jumped the vacuum switch, and only the combustion fan spins when the stove is started, green light keeps blinking, red light solid on 1.
What should I try next? Would the bad gasket now cause the problem, even when I jumped the vacuum switch? Combustion fan wasn't working when problem first appeared, now it is, but same error 2. I've never had any problems with the stove, and have never cleaned the combustion fan before... |

Did you clean your venting all the way out to yhe cap? What about the tunnel that goes from the fan back toward the front of the stove? Also blow back thru vac tube to make sure it is not clogged. _________________ Keepin' warm with corn

| Yes, I cleaned the vacuum tube, all venting, and the tunnel from the combustion fan towards the front of the stove. |

| How did you clean the channel from the fan to the front of the stove? Did you use a 1/8 cable? It sure sounds like it is plugged still. |

| Not sure if we're talking about the same area, but when I pulled the combustion fan out, i used an ash vac and vacuumed it out. I was able to stick the end of the vac quite a way into the tunnel, and it looked clean when I was done. If there is an area that is smaller/narrower that could be plugged, I'm not sure where that would be, and how to get to it.... |

sounds like you need to try the leaf blower trick to clean the spots that you my not have been able to get to. Search this site and it wiil explain this process. Also a magnahelic would be handy to see if you have enough vacuum or if it is a faulty vac switch. _________________ Keepin' warm with corn

| Inside the stove, to the left and to the right of where the fuel comes down, there is two half inch diameter plugs, if you have a brick kit it will need to be removed. Remove those 2 plugs, this is where you will need to use the 1/8 cable to feet through, you will need about 1 to 1.5 feet to get it all the way through. Once you feed it all the way, hook your drill to it, you will see all kinds of ash come out. |

| I don't have the plugs, but after tapping the inside back of the stove, I cleaned a lot out of the ash traps. I tried the stove again, and same results... |

yeah you will need to run the cables through measure over about one inch from the bottom left and right sides of the feed and drill your self a 1/2 in hole only go through the first sheet metal then you will need to remove the comb. fen from the housing and run the cables through on side at a time and they will endup in the comb. fan housing sounds worse than it is after some practice only bout a 30 min. job that would be on the long side good luck _________________ trained tech |

| If you drill the holes at 1" away you'll need to get a welder out to fix the holes as you will miss the channel. I found my tech bulletin, email me and I can send it to you |

| After drilling the cleanout holes and cleaning, and jumping the vacuum switch, the stove has been running for a couple hours now, hopefully it stays. Where can I get the plugs for the 7/16 holes that I drilled?? |
