Just followed the test that came with my igniter, I do hear a fan running when I do the test, so that would tell me my Board is bad.
If the Board wasn't bad, would I hear anything?
I just don't know which fan is running ( yeah I'm a Gal, you know what we are like with noises on cars? Same on Bixby!).
OK now hit me with some more bad news, how much is the Board and who has one I can buy please?

Well I tested the good igniter to and that sounds the same as the bad igniter, when I have the the exhaust fan J13 plugged into either J5 or J7, the stove goes through the motions of starting the arm moves etc etc, I just don't know if the exhaust fan is running, oh boy. How do I know if it is running ? Explanation for a female please guys! hehe.
Also I don't know how long I should leave it plugged in to test it? I may be unplugging it too soon.

bixby does not have igniter boards in stock, they will check out for 30.00, if anything wrong you would need new board

Hmm would have to get on roof for that, can I leave it running for that long, will it do any damage?
Any Idea who would have one in stock? Dealers?
Now If I have to run with a bad igniter board, and I get my bix check cable from Rona, then that will at least take care of the ash dump situation right?
Should I leave the bad igniter unplugged?
Thanks for your help Blume.

Well although allthis stuff scares me (I know I know) I went and looked at it again, maybe the fact that light 6 is flashing is a give away? So I feel confident that the test worked and that I have an igniter board failure.
Do I leave the lower fuses in or put the original fuses back?
Until I get the bix check cable here and the stove updated I know it won't do an ash dump, but running with one igniter until I get a new board should be ok right?
Sorry for all the questions guys.

Doesn't 6 mean exhaust fan failure? If it is bad you should be able to get one from Fasco?? I need help -my memory is fizzling.
Can you remove that rectangular cover and look at the fan to see if it is free and not stopped by a piece of junk? Be very carefull with the screws that hold the cover in place turn a little reverse and turn other direction maybe you can get them out with out breaking them,

well thinking about it, if the exhaust fan is unplugged to do the test and plugged into J5 then is that why light 6 is flashing?
LOL this is why I never messed with my stove,

CarolK,
I think you are doing a good job trying to figure this out. You can do a manual ash dump if necessary to get you by. Look in the Wiki-I think it is push off then on?

I believe that a manual ashdump can be forced by pressing the ON button. I'll put something on that in the WIKI.

EDIT: Done. Thanks for the idea, Cash.

Well as an update Rona has been helping me check some stuff, and here is what I have found.
I have learned how to use an ohm meter! The igniter the stove says was bad, is not! One fuse I took out, a medium blow 6.3 A had blown. I thought that was a fix.
However, I still have lights 1 & 7 flashing, the left igniter is good, shows 28 on an ohm meter, but does not heat up when in stove.
The low blow fuses that Bixby sent me with the new igniter are still in the machine and have been checked with ohm meter and are good.
I'll check some more things today, but I'd like to say this place has the most awesome members that jusp in and help.
I know more about my stove than ever, I'm not scared of it anymore, I know how to check fuses, take them out, use an ohm meter, and a host of other good stuff. Rona has taken so much time to help me and from the bottom of my heart I say a big thanks to him and all you other guys that jump in to help all the time.

Here's an update.
I found an ohm meter in the house last night, so Rona had told me how to use it (LOL) and this morning I checked everything out.
The original left igniter that I thought was bad, is not. The oriiginal medium blow fuses that I took out of the stove, one was good one was showing no reading. hmmmm.
This morning I check the 2 igniters in there, both read good. I had taken the low blow fuses out so check them, they showed good.
So as I went to put the fuses back in I thought the bottom clip seemed a little loose, so I bent it up a little and put the fuses back in.
I turned it on, heard the igniters click on and hmmmm no lights flashing??? Opened the stove door and checked and igniters were glowing real nice. Oh boy was I smiling, then the stove shut down, it re lit itself and has been running about 2 hours now.
It may still be a bad board, but heck I'm happy as a pig in ---- right now!

Hi Blume,
forgot to say Rona had me do all that last night, with swapping things around and at one point I had no igniters working , then I would have one working. That's when he pulled his hair out and said I needed an ohm meter.
At a guess I would say that the fuse may have been causing some issues?? and when I got the fuse tightened in there all seems good, well so far.....
It's in the mid 70's here and I have my stove running on #4 still testing it out, but I'm a happy gal!

Not as happy as me!! I was running out of ideas. Funny how simple it looks now and no big money issues.
