My ash arm bellows is bad and I bought a new one. I found some info on the wiki, but it doesn't give me any step by step instructions for replacing it. Doesn't look too hard, but would rather ask first.
Thanks Rick _________________ Rick H |

Bixby normally provides instructions with every part that it sells.
Most or all Bixby instructions are posted on Quark's Corner.
This page looks promising. http://www.scribd.com/document_collections/2286263?page=4
Try the first doc, there, called Repair Kit Instructions Bixby Energy Systems. It's a large doc. My rural internet right now is glacial, so that's as far as I can go for now. If you find the instructions, pls let me know. I'll put them in the WIKI. _________________ Bixby 115 MaxFire.

I replaced it last night. Tight area to work in.
One thing I would add to anyone replacing this bellows is: Use some WD 40 on the four bolts from the outside and from inside. I sprayed WD 40 all four of the bolts that hold the bellows in place on the outside, but the bottom two bolts still broke off. I would also spray them from the inside. Looks like trouble to get them out from the outside. Might be able to get them out from the inside. _________________ Rick H |
