Been using the stove without trouble until today when I turned it on, the flame came towards the front door and 6 blink status light came on. I cleaned the holes in pot and cleaned below the pot, but still doing same things. any suggestions? normally the start up flame goes straight up. I'm burning pellets. _________________ Del-Harman PC 45, cornvac cleaner

Make sure your ESP probe is clean. Mine does it once in a while when it gets really dirty. just a thought. _________________ Harman PC45 down stairs and upstair.

I tried to clean the ESP probe. Do most of you remove it to clean or clean it in the outlet? what do you use to clean it? I use toothbrush attached to stick but hard to see improvement. What function does the air pump serve and how does one check it? When the igniter goes off, the flame dies right away. What source of air feeds the fire?
thanks for the help _________________ Del-Harman PC 45, cornvac cleaner

I usually pull mine right out and clean it with a peice of steel wool. Its only 1 screw so its not to hard. I have also replaced mine once since we owned our stove, so you never know, it might be a faulty probe. _________________ Harman PC45 down stairs and upstair.

Franny just remove the probe a lot easer that way I use very fine dmery cloth had problems with the steel wool polishing the carbon. another thing to check is in the back of your stove there is a flap where the fresh air enters for combustion make sure it opens and that there is nothing in the
tube I've had stuff in there and it causes a lazy flame that the stove canot overcome. if you have fresh air from outside be sure that that pipe is not pluged. |
