That sounds like the typical nature of "dealers". They like to sell things but don't want to service anything. Don't bet it will be any different by changing brands. Bad dealers aren't always the fault of the manufacturer. I know there are some dealers that are on this web site or they have been, that provide good service. I wonder where they are?

Service what was that? Used to 2 dealers in a 10 mile radius of me 6 years ago, now its 70 miles for a Magnum dealer.
Just don't see why they aren't more popular here in the corn belt.

RAA,

The owner of AES is a member on this site. I would scearch for his name "cornman" on this site and send him a PM. He would probably be able to tell you if the furnace is junk, or how it could be fixed and what it would cost.

I wouldn't expect any help from the company to cover anything. With the tax break that you can get if you buy a new one this year, you may want to get a new furnace.

I know a good dealer in the twin city area if you are going to stay with an AES product, but I would think that you probably want to go with a different company.

Don't know what to do yet. Know some neighbors that have LDJ's and they like them. Know a dealer that has some and could get a good deal. They dont recommend power venting those. Don't have a chimney near by to vent one of those. If I could put it by the chimney, my water heater is vented out the chimney, that's another set of problems.
Brother and couple friends have 7500's nobody seems to have the problems I've had.
I do know every time my LP furnace kicks on I want to puke.

You can power vent the hot water heater. That's a lot easier than power venting a solid fuel burner. There was an LDJ dealer that had some power vents built based on the exhaust blowers for corn stoves. It reminded me of a Turbo-charger on engines. It had the same style impeller as the exhaust blower wheels on our stoves. I saw it on display at a local farm show. His furnace and stove business was his secondary business and he had to give it up.
