When we spent 100 grand remodeling the farmhouse, I bought my wife a Roomba because we have all laminate and ceramic tile floors now. It's neat to watch but it's not very good at vacuuming because of the random pattern. Not enough intellegence built in, I guess. The old standby Dyson is light years better. The Roomba is good entertainment for the cat however.
Years ago, I had a Flymow which was a wheeless lawnmower based on a hovercraft. Wish I still had it. Great for the ditch bank.
I'll stick with my 60" Tank. I'd probably wear out a robot lawnmower on 7 acres in one season.
