| I'm considering the Harman PF100 Pellet furnace for my home. Can anyone provide me with a review of the system? Does anyone have other suggestions besides the Harman (to use with my existing duct work)? |

If you are searching for a good bio furnace, check out the Fahrenheit. It is able to be hooked into your ductwork, thermostat ready, self cleaning firepot. U L listed to burn corn, pellets, cherry pits, among other bio fuels. Very low maintenence stove/furnace. _________________ Mike and Barb

| I would also check out the St. Croix furnaces (they have a new furnace this year too) and the Bixby UBB. |

Maybe not publicly....
It looks like a very nice unit and is more upscale than prior St. Croix units. |

welcome thunder to the forum,my father runs two pf 100's one in his shop and one in the house, and he has no complaints, the one in the house for pellet useage is about 2 bags a day in dead winter and about a bag any other time of the yr. we also tried other bio mass in them and works good,,we used 50/50 corn, pellet no problem any more than that is doesn't auto lite, wheat works,,alot of ash and alot of cleaning. The only thing is if you get one and have a 2000 square foot house or bigger get the bigger blower motor its optional at purcahse but it works better, the stove doesn't stay running and work harder to maintain the house temp, also keeps the fuel usage abit lower _________________ blazing heat in the great north with my trusty p68 and a quad AE. heating with no n.g working on seven yrs heating |

The new St Croix furnace should be out the end of Oct.. It is self lighting and has a auto clean fire pot. Also has a higher output 60k - 70k. We are impatiently waiting for them. _________________ LET Energy Systems

Hello ThunderAl35.
How about the Magnum Countryside 7500 furnace? This company has been around for over 30 years making these biomass stoves and furnaces for over 20 years. The 7500 and 6500 series furnaces are rated at up to 78,000btu's. The difference between the two is that the 7500 has a stirrer in the firepot and the 6500 has a tri-level combustion firepot with no stirrer. If you need help finding a dealer near you let me know, I'll be glad too help. Hope this helps.

| Saw the new St. Croix unit in person today, looks very promising! I saw a video of it running, both inside the unit and out. Retail price under $4k, so it looks like a nice option for anyone looking for a mid sized furnace. |

| I saw the St. Croix SCF-Revolution a couple of weeks ago at a farm show. They burnt corn one day and wheat the other. A simple dual hopper system, small hopper for pellets that are used to start the furnace and then switches to the main hopper (corn) once burning. The burn pot is self cleaning. It looked pretty bullet proof. I may have to trade in my Greenfield. |
