I am looking into pellets for my Bixby Maxfire, but am not having much luck finding a supplier around my area. Anyone out there have suggestions?

Thanks!!

For retail try Fleet/Farm in beaver dam or tractor supply in watertown.

I was at a Menards this morning and they had wood pellets for $4 per bag/that's $200 per ton. That seems to be about the going rate for pellets now, at least around here.

Tractor supply in Viroqua has pellets Fuel King, North American Hardwoods, or Dejno's (however you spell that) for $165/ton. They also store them there for you if you don't want to get them all at once. They will be going up when it gets closer to the season.

I was in Lowe's this morning. Pennington Co., Natures Heat pellets $3.99 by the bag or $3.59 full pallet price-$179.50 a ton. They are a southern company, maybe southern yellow pine, that should be hot burning.

ileed ... are you living in Oregon? That center is only a couple miles away from me and I've bought pellets there the last two years. Call in your order so they can have your supply shipped in. That price maybe $200/60 bags @ the pallet size. Two years ago they had Marth, but this last year it was advertised as hardwood pellets that smelled a lot like pine. Still burned well, just left a crusty pitch at the bottom of the burn pot.

Ahsucks, thanks for the reply. Sounds like we are neighbors.

I am their neighbor, and have bought a ton, but will need more. The pellets are Dejno's, >1% ash, 8,000 BTU. So much for what is on the bag. They still have 10 pallets on the lot. I am contemplating buying another pallet. I can't drive to Viroqua and save, nor to juda, just for a ton or two.

Look for the ad for 149 a bushel under the Wanted/For Sale. CAll Tomand see if he has a truck coming your way. Or if there is a surplus of his Pellets in Madtown.
