Open pollinated corn is like a purebreed corn as compared to a hybred corn grown by todays farmers you can not save seed from a hybred corn and expect to get the same type of corn.

Open pollinated corn you can save the seed and plant next year and get the same seed the next year. Open pollinated corn does not yeild as good as hybreds OP. will yield 100bu per acre were a hybrid may yield close to 200Bu per acre
