Soybeans
From Cornburning
Soybeans are high oil and make a mess of the burn pot and burn chamber. In some cases the oil is sufficient to even run out on to the floor surrounding the corn burner. For this reason burning straight soybeans is not recommended. Some people have been successful running a soybean blend of up to 20% soybeans with corn or pellets. In defiance of the above popular advice, Rickjulson reported success burning straight soybeans in a stirrer-type corn stove http://forum.iburncorn.com/viewtopic.php?p=112082 . He found no problem with oil. Instead, he reported a thick sooty ash that required cleaning every 4 days or so.
