Tekris Power Model XATS-1 Automatic Transfer Switch. When used with the Xantrex XP1500 Power Pack it provides an automatic back up supply for Sump Pumps, Aquariums and more. Rated at 15 amps continuous.

The transfer switch has two power cords. One power cord is marked "grid" the other cord is marked "inverter".

The cord marked "grid" needs to be a sinewave input (ie: Utility or generator).

The output of the Auto transfer switch (plugged into the AC output of the inverter) will feed your accessory (pump, lights, stove, etc.)

When the unit senses a power outage, then the Auto Transfer switch will choose the Inverter output within approx 18ms transfer time (inverter needs to be left on) until the grid comes back on or a generator is attached.

The "Grid" input (Utility or generator) has a 30 sec time delay to allow for applitude evaluation before transfer and was designed for a truesine wave. The unit will enable any inverter to act as a UPS.
